Hello everyone.

I had my biometrics today here in palm beach county, florida. The girl told me that my name in her system is still not updated (not with my married last name) but when we sent all 3 applications i used my married last name along with certified copies of our marriage certificate.

She wants me to send a letter of explanation with supporting documents to USCIS National Benefits Center to inform them that i want my name to be changed.

I am worried that this may cause delay or confusion. I don't know if others have the same experience as mine. :(

I have the same experience, went to the biometrics and my name wasn't updated to married name. I had sent in all applications in my married name. It was no problem though and they did not tell me to send any explanations to anybody. She took my biometrics normally, just put it under my maiden name and added my married name on the file too. I received ead/ap combo card with married name on it without any delay.

The girl who facilitated my fingerprints and picture changed my name back to old middle name and last name cause the other girl crossed out my appointment letter and indicated my old name.

I got confused cause when she scanned my letter it showed my name under the married name. And it's more confusing cause the letter she gave me states 'if your demographic data has changed since filing the I-90 application, send a letter requesting the change along with your I-90 receipt number and supporting documentation"

But isn't I-90 is for renewal of green card? She said its okay. It is so confusing and i want to get it right asap
