Hello All,

I wanted to create this topic for those who have the same or similar situation like mine so we can share more info and get an idea of what is going on on that limbo. Let me be the first one to state my case.

My fiance had her interview on March,29th. It was just 3 questions asked, then the consular took her passport and said that she will do some more investigations and then will let her know. My Fiance asked her how long or why is that and the consular answer was that she didnt refuse her but she needs to look at the case further.

Today is 4/13 and i have not heard anything back till now. I called NVC and they said that my papers are still at the embassy. my status in NVC is Administrative Processing since the day of the interview.

I hope someone would share an advice here or his/her experience as well.

Thank you and Good Luck to ALL

Tell us more about your case.

The evidence you sent in, how often you saw each other.

How long you've been together.

What questions did they ask?

did they give any piece of paper at the interview?

Hello Daisy,

so through our engagement period ( a year and half now) i went to see my fiance 5 times. Each time was about 3-4 weeks. They asked her how long she knows me, where do i work, when is she planing to travel and where will she get married. Thats it. They gave her that paper of regular information and regulations of K1 visa.

Thanks

Any criminal convictions? Anything that (considering you are now stuck in the dread AP) could hinder their background check?

But just don't think too much into it yet, where as most APs only last a few hours or a couple days some can last a couple of weeks and only a few last the unfortunate months.

it has been 2 weeks already. I called the NVC and they said that the Embassy still has my Fiance papers, so i guess this is a good sign. I'm just so worried already. Thank you for your help tho.

We interviewed in December 2013 and went into AP until February 2014. Then we were approved. They had to check on some things with us too. Mostly, the CO wanted to make sure we weren't married. The time it took for them to approve was terrible, but in the grand scheme of things, it was minimal to the rest of the waiting we've experienced.

Thank you for your response. So in my case, I should expect another month at least? that is terrible. I cant wait till all of this crisis are over. It has been a nightmare.

Each case is different of course, but I wouldn't panic if it took another month.

i had a really weird incident today and i would appreciate if someone could help me. I called the NVC to check in the status and that lady told me that my case was denied and i will have to call the embassy to get more info. I was so panicked. I called them again three times and everyone of the staff that answered me told me that it is still under AP and not refused. Last agent told me that she might have told me that because the consulor didnt give my fiance the visa on spot (which means refusal) and the consular put the case under 221g AP .

What is 221g AP? is that the standard AP? what should i do now?

Thanks Everyone
