Administrative Processing

Hello VJers. My cousin had an interview on March 27 in New Delhi. She had stayed in Canada for about an year and they told her to get the PCC from Canada and deposit that to visa center with your passport and your visa will arrive after 5 days. However we just got the PCC from Canada and its still being mailed. I was trying to check visa status online and its saying its under administrative processing. My question is that, Is the administrative processing because of the PCC or its something else?

It says the following:

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

Until they receive and review and approve you will be in AP. This is normal AP for documents.

Im in the same boat as you. I sent the docs on march 23 still in Ap since then. Waiting for an update on ceac website. Last update was on march 30. Good luck

I just checked the status today and it says

Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.

I just checked ceac. My status was update to ready. Is this a good signal???

Hey guys I had my interview on April 14 and was Given the form 221g to bring English translation of my Canada police certificate. I mailed it to Montreal Embassy on the 15th of April and today my ceac status shows last updated April 23.how long does it take to review documents.

I had my interview in Montreal last Feb.25,2015 and have put in AP since due to missing PCC (RCMP). Is there anyone of you had their interview in Montreal with the same situation as mine?

My case was updated on CEAC as follows:

March 12, 25

April 9, 21
