I submitted an inquiry and received this email:

//

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your inquiry.

In the inquiry submitted, you indicated that you are the petitioner of the referenced file. However, your email address does not support this request. Office privacy policies allow us to respond ONLY to the petitioner, the applicant or the legal representative of either the petitioner or applicant. To assist us in verifying your identity, please submit your original inquiry and provide your social security number (the last four digits).

If you have further questions, please do not reply to this email. Instead, please submit your inquiry to: http://hochiminh.usconsulate.gov/contact/ivinquiries.html. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to inquiries sent directly to this email address.

Sincerely,

My question is, where am i suppose to submit the original inquiry and provide my ssn? The developers forgot(?) to put in a text field on the inquiry form for : txtReason: Message Text (optional) Maximum characters: 500.

Is there a different email address i am suppose to send it to or should i add the text field myself and try to submit another inquiry? I dont think it would be a good idea to hack around their form although itd be pretty easy to add that txtReason input. Any ideas?

thanks

Edit: also, i thnk it didnt match the emails because on my i129f i put my email in all caps, and on the inquiry, i put it without caps. Should i resubmit to see what happens?

I also just found the email address support-vietnam@ustraveldocs.com, should i forward the email there and provide the last 4 of my ssn? thanks again

I ran into the same problem as you. If you're on a laptop or desktop it won't show the box to write the 500 characters, but it appears on your smart phone. I also didn't resubmit anything, just my last 4 of my social. When I inquired on my laptop, I just put a few spaces after my email and wrote my last 4 after that. When I submitted an inquiry a second time, because they spelled my fiancee's name incorrectly, I used my smart phone and typed in my last 4 in the message box that's available.

Yeah she lives in Rach Gia. She didn't have any major problems, but she didn't like that she had to be completely nude for her exam. I warned her that it may happen, but she didn't think it would actually happen. She was also upset, because she didn't need any vaccinations, because she had already been getting the ones she needs over the past few months in Rach Gia, but the Quarantine Service wouldn't sign off on her paperwork, unless she paid for them again.

I have heard about the "completely nude" medical exams at Cho Ray. My wife was told to keep her undies on when she went to IOM.

I have heard about the "completely nude" medical exams at Cho Ray. My wife was told to keep her undies on when she went to IOM.

I told her to got to IOM, but she was adamant on going to Cho Ray, because everyone on their version of visa journey recommended it. She read that IOM had bad reviews and I told her that I read Cho Ray had even worse reviews. Either way its done and over with; just have to get through the interview now.

Ahh, i'll keep that in mind. Might be an obvious question, but the examiner is female right? I think my fiancee might have a hard time letting a male examine her completely nude. lol

Also, i got a letter from the NVC today saying they sent my case to HCMC on the 23rd. It says to go to their site to apply for a visa, so does that mean i should do the ds-160 before my fiancee receives packet 3? Also, will they email me packet 3 when they get back to me with the inquiry or will they likely tell me to wait/resend another packet 3? Thanks guys. you guys are awesome!

Did you ask them to email you a copy of the Packet 3 letter when you filled out the online inquiry? If you did then they will send you one but probably not until Monday. :)

You can go ahead and fill out the DS-160 while waiting for the Packet 3 letter. Then you can pay the visa fee and setup your interview appointment.

Ahh ok.

I see in your signature - " :Fiancée applied for single status certificate" . Can you let me know where/how she did that? I was always under the impression that if youre not married, then youre listed in your parents house book or something. Thanks
