Hello Visa Journey Members,

I got an email this morning fro NVC stating this to me:

Dear Sir/Madam,

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

Does this mean my case is complete??

My Wife is from Bangkok, Thailand and i am in Los Angeles, California.

Preference Category: CR1

Priority Date: 15-APR-14

Can anyone please advise what happens next now except knowing the interview is set to take place, anything more important now?

Does anyone have any idea or estimate how long does it take from here to get an interview in Bangkok.

Any responses will be grateful, thank you!

Have a blessed day!

Yes, your case is complete. It may have been completed a week ago or so; it usually takes them about 5-7 days or so to get the confirmation email out. Call and enquire if you're curious, but there's no need to.

The NVC should email you again shortly with your interview date. You can check dwheels spreadsheet to view the average time between case complete and interview. Just select your consulate/country from the drop down.

Best of luck with the rest of the process.

i had also done a expedite request and i got an email this morning that:

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.

So my question now is what happens, is the file still going to consulate on expedite or is NVC going to schedule my wife interview appointment.

has anyone ever been in this situation before??

Nope once you were approved you are out of the hands of NVC. Now you have to wait on the embassy. I would email the embassy like next week just to let them know you are watching and ready for interview. Get your medical if you can. Hopefully your embassy assigns a interview fast.

One thing you must know an expedite doesn't necessarily mean an earlier interview date it just means they are working on your case faster. I have seen expedited people get an interview after the regular NVC waiting folks. NOt to say it will happen.
