Congratulations! How long after NOA did you receive your biometrics letter? Did you case status online change?

Congrats again.

Thank you! I received my biometrics letter 2 weeks after my NOA1 and my online case status didn't change, it only came in the mail.

Nice! And I noticed that we were married on the same day. :)

Yeah I saw that too, so cool! :) Good luck for your AOS!

Congrats! I got mine for the 29th of April. I am going to try my luck for walk in tomorrow, as I have a pending Job Offer waiting for EAD.

I wish all of us smooth AOS processing :)

Thanks! I didn't know it's possible to walk in early, you have to tell us how it went. ;) You are lucky that you already have a job offer, that's my biggest concern at the moment ... I'm so worried I won't be able to find a job once I get my EAD. :(

Don't worry! You will find one. Just start sending resumes now. I started sending my resume couple of days I arrived. Yes, I got 4-5 calls who did not proceed with my In-Person Interview but I found one which was willing to wait for my EAD to come out. Just be honest about our visa status as not to waste people's time :) But I am telling you, it is worth it :)

Hello Charmed2006!! Congrats on your biometrics schedule. May I ask, since you already have an awaiting job offer, it means that you applied prior to your filing? Because I wanna apply already while I am waiting for my EAD. I just sent my package yesterday. I just want to start job hunting hoping before my EAD comes, I would have a job offer just like you did. You think it makes sense? Thanks!

Yes it is not illegal to start looking for jobs even before receiving the EAD. I started sending resumes as early as 3 days after I arrived in the USA. I received 5-6 calls asking me for interview but the moment I told them I am able to work only when I get my EAD which is 2-3months away, they did not continue asking me for IN PERSON interview as the positions were urgent. It is fair enough :). But I got one company which proceeded calling me in and lucky to have landed the job. Just be honest with the employers about your status, make it clear to them that you are waiting for EAD but make sure to point out that you do not require sponsorship from them.

Goodluck on our AOS. And Goodluck on your job hunt :)
