After Interview: Options?

I'm guessing people who have completed the process don't tend to come back too often. But if there is anyone around that recently completed their interview... How long did it take for the visa to arrive via mail. Will they only send to the address from the submitted documents? Is there any way to opt for picking up the visa vs. waiting for it to arrive in the mail? I'm just hoping I don't have to rely on the P.O. here. The last documents we received were just tossed on the patio when no one was home.

You get the passport back in about 10 days via courier service to the address that was indicated for passport delivery.

They no longer allow picking up of visas. As zeta stated above, the visa will be delivered to the address that you specified on your ustraveldocs website. You have until 24 hrs before the interview to change this address on the ustraveldocs website, if I remember correctly. It will be hand delivered by EMS (signature required). You are required to fill out an EMS form after your interview (if approved) and it is your last chance to confirm your delivery address and phone number. In some cases, EMS will call prior to delivery. In other cases, like mine, they called because they could not locate my then-fiancee's house.

and the private courier service is safer than the post office, so no worries there, and it took my fiance 2 weeks from the day of her interview until she got her passport back

Hi, my fiance was approved last week and was asked to fill out her mailing address and phone number. Then she was handed a blank pink slip with a tracking number and stamped "EMS Visa Hoa Toc" in the center and "Chua Thu Tien" at the bottom. Does this mean she has to pay another fee? She was told she would receive her materials in 5-6 days. It has been 7 days and we are not sure if she has to fill out the EMS form and resend? Please advise. Thanks!

No, she does not have to pay again. The visa fee that she paid earlier in the process covers everything, including EMS delivery of visa to her house.

She can track the package via EMS website using her tracking number.
