Hi VJ,

I heard many topics talking about arranging for a congressman to be involved to take care of a case on behalf of someone. My question is, how could I arrange for a congressman to be involved? How could I choose him/her? what's the appropriate/legal way to start with this?

Your prompt response is highly appreciated!

Cheers

A congressman won't take care of a case on behalf of someone.

A congressman can enquire directly about a case to a higher level than we can do.

You would have to google the local congressman for your area.

If you want more specific help and answers on this website, filling in your time line helps and giving us more information on why or what exactly you are trying to do.

Judging from your prior posts you do not have one.

What would you want one to do?

Thanks Cody and Boiler for your prompt respnoses.

My question is, I am from Iraq and wondering how could I assign some congressman, based on my area, to enquire about my immigrant visa case? I am currently in AP which passed more than 90 days.

Hope this clarifies my intial request.

Cheers

Just go on google and see who is your congressman or senator.

My fiance involved his senator.

They have pave on internet, you contact them by intenet, e-msil.

Thry send you a sheet that you sign to give them authorization to inquire belhaf you.

Once they that the autorization, they e-mail the consulate and can find what going on.

You dont loose nothing doing that, you ecplain to them the situation and they will tell you what to do.

Good luck

For Iraq?

Nothing they can do about AP anyway.

i am under Ap too since my interview still no answer no update in CEAC we email them and we got this answer

" Thank you for your inquiry. Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a consular officer. Applicants are advised of this requirement when they apply. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case.

Before making inquiries about status of administrative processing, applicants or their representatives will need to wait at least 60 days from the date of interview or submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later.

Regards,"

Its really unacceptable wait and wait when others before me and after me got thier visa issued after short Ap and me still waiting ,i want to add other things we filed our CR1 since 2013 .after all this long wait and stuk in Uscis plus Nvc now i have to wait again . :protest:
