St Lukes Medical

I'm responding to a checklist for a police certificate hopefully later this week and if not next week as it's being sent to me from Singapore.

My questions is: Can we get the medical done while I'm in town in mid May?

I was looking at the site for ST Lukes and it's asking for a NVC interview appointment. I thought I read on here that my NOA-2 would be enough.

Please advise?

Thanks!

I think you need the email from NVC that has your case number. The NOA-2 does not have have your case number in it.

I have the email with the case number, but the instructions state interview letter.

Probably, they have changed it then. I remember, I had a friend who went for her medical just with the email from NVC that has her case number. It's been 4 years ago. Mu husband, who was in South Korea, didn't have to wait for the interviwe letter from the embassy. As soon as we had the email confirmation from NVC with his case number, he went on for his medical. BUt this was 4 years ago as well.

Yes you can do an advance medical. No need to wait for an interview letter. Just bring any letter from NVC that has your case # on it. Just be reminded that the medical (if everything went fine) has a validity of up to 6 months only.

About 60 days or so AFTER you send the NVC the documents they requested they will email both the petitioner and beneficiary a 'notice of interview'. The email will have additional information for you to follow. It also includes a summary of all the documents the NVC will send to the embassy, additional documents you need to bring, and original copies you need to bring and of course the date of your interview. Some of the original info is current AOS. There is really no need to proactively do the Medical. Your interview will be scheduled approximately 6 weeks after the date of the interview. I would be more concerned about providing the checklist documents requested. Send the NVC the original copies after making copies for yourself.

You can preschedule your CFO seminar and get that out of the way. Then after you have visa in your pp you can go back to get the 'exit' stamp.

This info is current, only 2 weeks old.

Providing the checklist documents is the obvious priority and it should be here shortly as its bring sent from Singapore. Actually you provide copies and the originals go to the interview. I did give originals on some of my forms originally, but that was because I had more than one.

I woukd like to do it early as I will be in town and would rather make sure she is dropped off and picked up safely. It will also reduce hotel cost. Another reason is there is always a chance of complications. The 6 month rule is not a issue as she will fly out same day visa is issued. I already have the appointment for the CFO while I am there.
