Hi everyone, I couldn't find a March 2015 I-130 Forum for parents so I created this one to support one another through this Journey. If there is a forum out there addressing this topic, please feel free to direct me to it.

I sent the I130 package for my parents on March 24th and I got a text message and email that the application was received and is being sent to Vermont center. Today, my bank account shows that the check is being processed.

Please join me and share your timeline and experiences and we can all support each other through this journey.

My wife filed for her parents March 3rd NOA1 March 9th. Nebraska SC (unfortunately). I have been trying to figure out a current timeline to get some idea how long this process will go on for... I guess that we are in the same boat...

You can also check http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/i130. You can use the filter to check for Nebraska to give you an idea for that center. The fastest I have seen for Vermont is 37 days (that is without RFE). I hope I can get this stage over with soon. Goodluck.

I saw that US Citizen can apply for stepparent. I will apply to bring my dad after citizenship is completed so can I apply to bring my Stepmother as well? does it take the same amount of time?

Yes you can file for your stepmom. The process is equally the same. however you must ensure that your parents have been married before you turned 16.(I think it's between your 16th or 18th birthday).

They have been together before I turned 16 and they didn't get married officially until 2007 so I was already pass 18th. Will that be a problem.

Yes it will be a problem. The marriage would have had to take place before your 18th birthday. Sorry...

I was expecting about a 5 to 6 month wait for the NOA2.... Especially that it was Nebraska SC... Haven't heard anything good out of there... My wife was very excited... On to the NVC
