Hi Everyone,

Mailed I-129F paperwork on Friday, March 27, 2015 vis USPS Priority mail. Received confirmation from postal service that the package was delivered and now anxiously waiting to hear from USCIS. The first step is always the most nail biting one, but I know it's a common feeling that everyone experiences. I thought we'd get a notification by now that they'd received our paperwork, but I guess all we can do is wait. Looking forward to hearing from others about their experiences.

You are good. I sent my documents on March 18th, received USPS verification of delivery on March 19th, but didn't get the text/email until March 24th. I even called the money order issuer and they had not cleared the payment until the 24th. However, after I received my receipt number, the USCIS site confirmed receipt as of March 20th. You just have a few more business days until you get everything verified.

What payment method did you use?

Thanks for the reassurance. I used a personal check following the advise of members of Visa Journey. Knowing the check has been cashed will let me know the paperwork has gotten to the correct office.

It got there. You may find that you receive the text notification the evening that the check clears. You can see from my signature that I received the notification late in the evening.

Don't be alarmed, and remember don't count weekends as a working day. As you can see from my timeline it took a little bit to get a notice, so hang in there. The good news is, since you'll be routed to CSC, all in all your process shouldn't be that long. Did you fill out an e-notification form with your application?

Thanks, I did send in the e-notification form with the application. Guess we're so used to instant responses since the internet revolution that we've forgotten the bureaucracy of the federal government works at a slower pace. That's not a knock on the employees of CIS because they have procedures they must follow and I understand that! Still knowing that doesn't make it any easier. lol
