Hi All,

Is there anyone from F2a PD of 2014 and has recently paid AOS and Imigration fees and is waiting for the file to be current ?

I am guessing that based on the file movements and people getting transfer notices from VSC to CSC, the estimate of the visa buletins next PD to be of end of Dec 2013 and of Q1/Q2 2014.. which would be a drastic move.

Thanks

Agm

Whose estimates? From your crystal ball?

Come on guys, every single month is the same story: two months movement expected; the VB will go up 5 months; it will become current; etc.

Let's be realistic: the VB is moving 1 month +/- 1 week. The best estimate we can have is 1 month movement, which is what makes sense also from an historical and conceptual point of view.

This is a very delicate thing for most people: DO NOT give false hopes! It is better not expecting much and having a positive surprise than convincing people all problems are going to be fixed next month and then nothing happens!

Yes, this is an open wound for everybody. I can personally deal with it, also because I am in a better, different situation than other people (I live with my wife here in the US).

What really makes me "suffer" is when I read of people that have really had their lives screwed up by this situation and that they seek here on this forum support and advice. Because of their depression, they believe anything that is written in here and they count on it. Then, at every single VB release there are people who are deeply disappointed, because they were expecting much greater movements.

That's the reason why I personally really don't like when people throw estimates in the air like you did. If I didn't write anything, believe that all the answers you have have received would have sounded like:

- Where did you read that?

- So is my PD going to become current next month?

- Is that true?

- Let's pray god for that to happen

- Finally the wait is over!

Regarding about your inquiry, here are several topics already open where we are discussing about it

Andreavespa,

I am not trying to excite people by confirming the VB dates. All I am trying to workout is the best possible estimate date that i think will result in move of f2a dates. You are reading too much into my thread and jumping to conclusions that I am hurting the sentiments. Immigration is a black hole.

Pls read the below link. Jun 2014 PD Cases are being transferred and are getting approved at USCIS level. Which is clear evidence that the files will move quite quick

My PD is Jan 21, 2014 and I have already paid my AOS/IV fees and sent all the docs and got the scan date. Having said that, this has nothing to do with how fast the PD will move. Same as USCIS approvals. NVC starts processing docs and collecting fees if they think you PD will become current in next 6 - 8 months or so.

I understand andre's frustration. Many people blindly throw their predictions in the air without any evidence. Visa dates will move 1 month + or - 1 week for next few months. Again I am not saying it will not surprise us by moving faster. But thats the current estimate based on evidences.

This is not an evidence! Sooner or later they should have done something about those cases, but what can we infer about the speed? Nothing!

As I wrote in another topic, a few months ago Charlie Oppenheim said "The NVC is now sending out Fee Bills 8-12 months in advance of the expected priority date becoming current. Previously, the NVC had been sending out the Fee Bills 12-18 months in advance."

What if that is the case instead? He didn't say "NVC is sending out fees 1-2 months in advance" as it would be the case in the event you described.
