Hi all, I had my interview today for the K1 visa at the sydney office. My express post envelope was not taken by the officer, even after I went back upstairs to check why. They said the envelope was not needed for the k1 visa, which I am puzzled by.... I have read everywhere else that it is? Has anyone had this problem?! I am now currently freaking out that my visa will take forever to reach me! Thanks in advance!

Hi there Ezzface,

I think you should email the Sydney Consulate and ask them how they are going to mail you your Passport along with your Visa so they answer your question as to why you don't need an express post envelope.

Don't freak out, they usually reply within 24 hours.

Goodluck! :D

On the day of my interview, there were K1 applicants who brought an envelope but were told its not needed because the cost of postage was included in the application fee. This is not the same as for immigrant visas where you have to provide an envelope.

The Passport is issued to you via a courier service (I think it's Toll) for K-1 visas.

When your visa has been printed and been ordered for pickup by Toll, you will receive an email with tracking information.

The cost of the visa fee includes the courier so there is nothing to provide to them regarding shipping but your delivery address.
