Original translation necessary for USCIS

I will get our marriage certificate translated by a certified translator. Do I need to send that orginal translation document with the copy of the marriage certificate to the USCIS or is it enough with a photocopy of the translation? My concern if i send the original is that I will not have the translation to send with the copy of the marriage certificate to the NVC when I get that far.

Anyone with experience?

When I order translations from a certified translator, I asked her to do it in 3 copies. This way I had to pay for translation ONCE and only for a stamps of notary (on 3 copies) had to pay for each. Notary stamps and signatures were cheap. As I wasn't sure - just as you are - we sent and original translation to the USCIS, an original translation to the NVC and keeping one for the interview. I will also make a photocopies of all translations for the interview to bring along with originals, and hope they will keep the photocopies. I think I will need those translations in a future.
