Just talked to a donut at the USCIS that just couldn't understand that 6 months means 6 months and not 4 months, and that by following your logic by the time you'll get to me it'll be 8 months. Think she was stunned to brief silence by that. But she did want to say in a smug tone, that they are running ''a little bit behind'' and ''ya'll just need to wait a little bit, okay?"

Also she has no idea about anything related to a transfer, and also has no idea why October cases after mine should have been processed when they are on that magic August number.

''Ya'll have a wonderful day.''

..Sure. Wonderful. Gritting my teeth and having a good cry kind of wonderful.

April, you absolutely belong on this thread. Then we can have you all primed and ready to sail through this stage as soon as you get your approval. Meantime, you're great company :)

When do you think you'll make your medical for? 2/3 weeks out? I know you want to do like us and do it quickly as possible. lol!

I was thinking 2 weeks, but if I can get anything for a week or so from now, I will take it. There is still another three days for them to get the results to the embassy, Yes, I am also the more brazen type. I will also be very persuasive if I need to ask them to hold off forwarding the results for a few days if I am worried, but I think our case will be at the consulate within the next 2 weeks if not sooner.

I wouldn't check it again. Just get the appointment. Then if it doesn't appear by Monday call and ask again.

Maybe it was an Aprils Fool's joke and the mean guy "Arthur" is making up false numbers because he hates all the calls asking him the same question over and over for his whole shift.

Yes, I can always correct it if necessary, even before we attend the appointment.

Arthur! Too funny, haha. See the rest of my post .....

But everyone is right about the numbers, it's so scattered, while anxiously awaiting our approval there was approval and RFE's happening all over. Some for july and August then some for September but meanwhile some people in July and August were still waiting to hear something. It's so frustrating.

And also anyone that's called the NVC lately had a guy name Arthur ? That man hates me I think...I cross my fingers every time I call I don't get him.

So frustrating but hope you get there soon!

Oh my! I Spoke to Arthur. He gave me my case number and he was so happy for us. There must be two Arthurs then. It was the funniest thing when I saw Nich mention Arthur, I scrambled all over my posts to see if I had mentioned him by name because I could have sworn I hadn't. I though I was losing it. Then I saw your post. This is too funny! He did start out very formal and matter-of-fact, but perhaps it was my bursting excitement that got him happy. He even wished us all the best for the next stage and told me to have a "wonderful day".

buahahahaha! I have spoken to a really nice woman there too fortunately. But poor Arthur, he sounds so mad when it's not there yet. lol!! But he sounds like he's from New Jersey as well (no offense to the New jersey people out there ok, ya'll will think I sound like I'm from Duck Dynasty or something so don't take offense to this...) but I keep waiting for him to say "Yo how you doin'!" hahaha

I was just thinking last night I wish there was a way to do audio files and people could guess who the heck that voice belonged to. In my imagination, you all talk exactly like me. I'm going to start looking where people live and read posts with accents. There's a bunch from Minnesota and I think I can do a very funny cliche Minnesota accent.

Ah, the case of "I don't have an accent. Everyone else does." ;)

My accent is more English than Scottish, which throws people a bit when they first meet me and they say, "Hey, we understand you perfectly!" as if they are relieved that the interpreter they booked didn't show up.

haha well I think he's probably pleasant maybe in general. But he was not pleased that people call and check before the 35 days etc...etc... haha he is just very harsh about it. But it is what it is, I just sulked a minute and carried on about my day imaging in my head he talks like Joey from Friends lol

ok and haha mind you I don't sound super southern to myself....but apparently I am. But I'm not redneck southern you can just tell I'm from the south. But I work in customer service so I have to tone it down etc... and make sure I sound a certain way so that changes it a lot. My fiance is from Manchester...well Oldham UK and he doesn't really sound like they do either. He does sound English obviously and northern but not Oldham. lol

I have a friend of mine that is Scottish that we play xbox with and sometimes when he talks I'm like wait do what now? Repeat that please. lol

Yeah I went through that at our 6 month mark, it's so hard because you are impatient but trying to be nice, but know that the answer is baloney.

That, and a whole host of other things. Going to wait a few more days, and see if the website will let me put in an e-request. Going for an infopass I think would be just as useless, and it's a long way away from my house.

Hmm, so the LND number brings up no result on CEAC. Is that because I am too impatient and it takes time to show a result on the system? It just says result not found. I selected immigrant visa and entered the letters as well as the number.

Do you know what date your case number was assigned? So after LND, 2015 the next 3 numbers are 5--. Minus 500 and that's the gregorian date your case number was generated. It could be possible that it isn't in the system yet. I wasn't able to track my case until 24 hours after I received it. CEAC does tell you if it's still at NVC.

Thank you for that, Chris. I suspect it's just a case of impatience on our part. You've given us a lot of helpful pointers. :)

Well mine should already be on the way since our NOA2 was prior to your dates but sadly I think I'm in the boat with some others that will never get that update, cause mine hasn't changed on the site. lol
