No, not really. My guess would be that the majority of business owners that higher illegal immigrants are probably Republicans, as the majority of business owners usually are.

i'm in favor of legal immigration reform. it needs to happen. but of course, the conversation will never get there because it's not beneficial to ANY politician, no matter what affiliation, to bring it up unless their pushing to rid us of "evil illegals". no reason to villify the businesses and independantly wealthy asshats that hire them. lowest common denominator...

i'm in favor of legal immigration reform. it needs to happen. but of course, the conversation will never get there because it's not beneficial to ANY politician, no matter what affiliation, to bring it up unless their pushing to rid us of "evil illegals". no reason to villify the businesses and independantly wealthy asshats that hire them. lowest common denominator...

It's comical that the same peeps who villify illegals are also the ones who exploit them the most.

it's real easy for the almighty job creators to publicly support the notion that we can effectively deport all illegals and build a wall to keep all illegals out (our southern neighbors being our lone issue of course) because they know in reality it will never happen. completely unrealistic approach.

I agree with the premise of your first sentence/question.

However, I think you missed my point. I was stating to Teddy that I believe that most that support "legalization" of illegals and other such schemes are Democrats/liberals, and was emphasizing that most of these folks are not business owners.

And for the record I disagree with your last sentence. Just because something is difficult or even unrealistic does not mean we should just give up. Yes, we probably cannot deport all illegals, but that does not mean when one turns up in the system somewhere they should not be removed. We should be talking about comprehensive legal immigration reform, helping those of us who have "played by the rules" and waited years for our loved ones (among others), and confer absolutely no benefits to those here illegally.

I know a lot of illegals aliens working

They make about $10 to $12 per hour, those are doing manual work. Of course they pay zero taxes

Many illegals run business in my areas, they make more money than a degreed person. Of course they pay zero taxes on income.

Only time I have seen illegals getting paid cheap, is when other illegals hire them.....
