Ok, so I have never posted here before! Brand new to Visa Journey, so I apologize if I am posting in the incorrect section! I am hoping to get some advice.

My fiance and I mailed our I-129F application and other supporting documents on (03/18/2015 and it was received the next day)

However, I was going through the copies today of everything that I sent and noticed that there was not a copy of the fiance letter of intent from my fiance which I know 100% that I had and that there was also not a copy of the VERY important last signature page of the I-129F. So I was thinking the person who copied the forms at Staples either forgot to copy these two forms or forgot to copy them AND also did not give me back the originals. Therefore, I have no idea if they were sent or not. I know, I know I should have been better about looking over everything and I thought that I thoroughly checked the documents before I sent them but I absolutely cannot remember if they were included now or not. So we are both kind of freaking out now about what would happen. I am assuming that I would just get an RFE for the missing fiance letter of intent but I know the signature page is vital. We have read that it is possible for them to reject the application all together or that they accept it and then deny it at a later date. We are also unsure if it rejected if it they will cash the check.

So my questions are: Will the I-129F be rejected without the last signature page? What happens when an application is rejected? Also, if it is accepted without the signature page, would it just be denied at a later date?
Should I call USCIS and try to find out if it was included or would they even be able to help me with this?
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!!

It won't be accepted without the signature page.

If the signature page is actually missing then the entire packet will be returned to you as deficient, and you will need to re-file. Your payment method will likely not be cashed, either.

I posted this last night. This morning the check was cashed! Do they just take the check out and cash it before going through the paperwork? Worried if the form isnt there that I would get a rejection and have to pay the fee again!

Similar thing happened with. Sorry but, Hypnos isn't correct. They will cash the cheque and most likely send you back the forms so the last page can be signed.

My fiance (USC) forgot to sign one of the forms. His cheque got cashed and they sent back the entire petition so he could sign the form and send it back. Once he sent the forms back everything progressed as normal.

If there isn't a letter of intent from your other half, you'll get an RFE. At least in the meantime you can rectify the RFE issue (by getting another letter of intent signed) so when the RFE comes in, you guys can respond to it almost immediately.

Hope this helps.

Update: Check was cashed this morning!!!

I'm really hoping they looked over everything before just cashing the check.

They won't! That's why they ask for the cheque to be at the front of the petition. I can only assume when the petitions come in, they have a department that takes the payment straight away then forwards the rest of the packet to the people who approve or deny it.

This way they get your money. They don't care if you're even eligible or not. They just want the mula!!

Thanks!

Well tbh I don't even know. My fiance never checks his mail because he never has anything important in it. He only looked in his mail maybe after two weeks of not receiving NAO1.

Maybe it took a week or two.

No!! Once they take the $340 they won't ask for it again.

It's possible that both the originals and the copies of these pages you do not have went with your package. It's easily done, especially when signing in black ink and not as easy to tell the copy from the original at a glance.

I went to Staples to get copies and then noticed there were not copies at all of the Fiance letter of intent and the last page of the I-129F. I know I had these documents when I took them to Staples to be copied so my concern was that they did not give me back the originals at all so when I mailed the original in the packet after I left Staples that they weren't in there because they accidentally kept them.

So I received the text that the application was received with my receipt number and the USCIS website says the following:

On March 20, 2015, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number ( ) and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by April 19, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing.

Is this normally what the website says if the case was accepted?

I originally thought I forgot to include the last signature page, so I'm just trying to see if it was actually accepted or what.

Thanks!

That looks like a NOA1, Acknowledgement of Receipt of your I-129F petition.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
