Actually, the validity period is six months, so yours is certainly "fresh" enough. I attended my fiancée's interview last March 23. We are now awaiting delivery of the visa

NBI or CENOMAR cannot be over 6 months old or a 221(g) will be issued.

The CENOMAR is good for one year but USEM will not except anything over 6 months there for technically it's not good for the interview if it is older than 6 months.

Well, we had one that was a little over 4 months old, but my fiancée didn't want to take any chances, so she got a new one. It was only 4 days old at the interview.

Thanks for the info. Im just curious also coz it say on the certificate "marriages enrolled in the database as of january 31,2015" meaning to say february is not on the database already?

You said your CENOMAR was dated Feb 5th, 2015. So likely no, all the Marriages for the Month of February were not in the Database yet.

Yah its dated feb 5,2015 so my cenomar its just going to be two months old on april 5,2015.. But my interview is on march 30,2015.. Shoud it be ok?

Three people above and now me say yes. That's four who say you'll be okay as long as your interview doesn't get delayed until August 6, 2015 (6 months and a day after the date of your CENOMAR).

What's really the validity of cenomar? I researched a lot i see different answers some say 3 months some say 6 months. Then some say it should be 3-4 weeks old prior to the interview. Oh my gosh this is so ridiculous. Why dont they just add to the requirements of USEM the validity of everything including cenomar,NBI etc.

No more than 6 months. People may get them renewed sooner if due to medical problems the interview gets delayed or if due to whatever reason their interview gets delayed.

I suppose they assume that you'll get the required documents when it's close to the time of the interview. So for whatever reason you have a 5 year old CENOMAR or a 2 year old NBI Clearance, you'll need one that's relatively "fresh".

For all they know, you have another marriage that may have been registered with NSO a few months back. Or you're Janet Napoles' daughter who just had some serious charges filed against her and wouldn't therefore show up on an NBI Clearance until just now.

Have the new CENOMARs been updated to include 2015 in the body of the letter? Fiancee's January 2015 CENOMAR was only dated through the end of 2014 in words, though dated the second week of January at the top of the letter.
