Hello,

I just filed I-129F for K1 and K1's child. I would like K1 to come visit my family and get to know them.

She would leave her daugther with family while she comes. She is a school teacher at a prep school currently,

What would I need to do to get her to be able to come? Are the acceptance rates good? How can I get her accepted?

Fiance lives in Uganda.

her chances of being able to visit are as close to zero as one can get. Unless she were a diplomat are the daughter of a well-known wealthy, Ugandan industrialist, she will not be issued a visitor's visa for lack of ties and due to the implication of "immigrant" intent as the beneficiary of the K1 visa.

Uganda be kiddin' me!

Ok.. puns aside: You are in the process of K1 for your fiancee but you guys want her to come visit... A lot of opinions say this can't be done... I say if the 160US is not an issue, I say just go for it and see what happens.

She needs to prove strong ties to her country such as employment, finances, property, etc.

I renewed a b1/b2 wen the i130 process was already started. They granted the renewal without a consular interview. I disclosed the i130 process in the tourist visa renewal application and still got it.

I have also been able to travel to US on several occasions during this process.

Try it if you are financially able... best of luck!! :goofy:

She applies for a visitor visa, nothing complicated.
