Hi everyone,

I want to bring my wife to the US & her child. I have some questions.

. Do I need to file 2 different I 130 & pay 2 fees?

. Other than the child's birth certificate, what other documents will I need?

. Is Dna test a requirement? if so how much usually? (In Haiti).

.Does her son get a 2 year green card as well after entry.

Please help me because I want to start the process

Assuming the child has been with the mother, and there is no late registered birth cert, no DNA test is likely.

I will address the DNA question for Haiti it is probably likely with all they went through with people taking kids that weren't there's recently. Even Mothers and child have to have DNA.

I would include also affidavit from father allowing child to immigrate or if the mother has a court order giving her custody.

If a DNA is asked for that's at the interview time and depending on the lab you choose price ranges from about $300 to $600.

I would also read the Haiti interview reviews and read and see if others were asked for DNA. It's a 2 to 4 month process for DNA added after interview.
