I started my parents petition July 29, 2014, They had their interview yesterday Manila) 03/23/2015. Embassy took their passport by has a 221g AP, they are requiring another NBI listing their A.k.A. You can check my timeline :)

Interview was very simple and easy, consulate just ask my parents about me and them, names and how many kids :)

NBI is Police Report in the Philippines stands for National bureau of Invistigation :). US Embassy required all their aliases included.

Thank you Amy. I hope it does go smoothly for you and your mom.

Joygen is NBI the same as a police certificate? My lawyer is really weird. he says my parents only need to take three things: medical, passports, and pictures of me and my parents.

Yes.

I asked my parents to bring picture of me with my parents but they didnt ask for it though, Medical and passport for sure. Bring your ds260 from. They asked for it.

I have them bring all the original docs. My parents told me that the consulate took everything. Bring 2x2 photos also. Bring everything you can think of.

Bring your 2014 Tax transcript.

Brief them, do a role play with your parents.

Joygen this is really weird. Why do we need to bring ds-260 when we already submitted it to the NVC? And I have a joint sponsor so do my parents bring his 2014 tax transcript? Mine isn't required? I don't have any income.

Yes, we submitted it. I also have no idea why.. I was freaking out so i have my parents bring everything. SO just in case CO asked for it, it is available for them. I suggest make a copy and sent it to your parents (just to make sure). Like what i said too many is good as far as document. U'll never know what they really need at the time of the interview. Every case is different. My dad told me that, he is happy that i sent them all the paper works, they didnt hae any problem. I even sent them the IV receipt. :)

I couldnt be more prepared lol

thanks for the clarification joeygen , when you say DS-260 you mean the confirmation page right ?

Yes. I also include the 6 pages form and confirmation and Receipt. Gosh, my parents has a bag of docs lol
