I'm am not completely sure it would happen or be the case for everyone, but my deployment window is coming up. I have not been notified, nor do I have orders to deploy...just the window where I am vulnerable to deploy. Anyway, yesterday I called the military helpline and asked what my options were and he said he would open a case for me and I will most likely get an email asking for evidence within 5 days. This morning I got just that. So I typed a quick memo stating my circumstances signed it, and got memo from my commander stating I was coming up as vulnerable for deployment between XX day and XX day being sure to let them know I hadn't been tasked and may not get tasked (I didn't want to deceive). I sent it from my work email as a pdf attachment and to my surprise 7 minutes later I received an expedite approval email stating I met the requirements. As I said, this may just be based on who is looking at the case, but it seems to have worked for me.

Follow-Up. I was also approved the same day (yesterday). There are private circumstances which would benefit her coming here before my deployment, it has to do with my children as they've already moved 4 times in the last 3 years and if I deployed again that would make a 5th. Anyway it wasn't really about just getting her over here asap, but continuity for my children. They are also no stranger to one another as we all lived together for over a year and half overseas.....

Great news.

Just so you know, you would have to request for expedite for each step of the process. USCIS, NVC & Manila Embassy. Not sure if you were aware. Good luck!

I did the same thing. Depends on who you deal with at USCIS. First 1-2 times I was told must have an actual tasking, then spoke to someone who told me to send a copy of proof that my window was coming up. Once that happened things rolled fast.

NVC & embassy was fast, didn't even bother expediting with them.

I'm gathering my I-129f papers and I called up the Military helpline they told me to include my Orders, so I did, about to mail my packet within next week.

Make sure on the cover you put expedite and include a request letter. I'm sure they told you all that though, just looking out for you.
