possible receipt number change ??

My fiancée and I sent the I-129f on october 2014. Unfortunatly we made a mistake in the check for the application fee. We recieved about a week later a rejection notice with our receipt beginning with SRC (at this time I was living in Arkansas, so it would have went to Texas Center). We’ve been traveling the last five months so we’ve just got the chance to re-put together our application. However I now live in Idaho (which means the application is suppose to go to Califonia Center now)

If i resend the form from a new address, will I recieve a new receipt number ? And is there a chance my file will be sent to the California Center instead of the Texas one.

My problem is : I am scared that if our SRC receipt number does not change then the file will have to go to TEXAS, and it will take much longer than if it were to go to California, with current processing times.

So you submitted an application, but it was rejected because your payment wasn't processed? But you were given a SRC #? What exactly did you receive from USCIS when you first applied?

Was it completely rejected?

We're you given any file numbers?

Was the whole package returned?

No one here can tell you for sure if you send it in again with an address that resides in the CSC zones that it will go to California.

Just try and find out.

The payment wasn't processed because the amount we sent was incorrect.

They sent us back the whole file except for the form I-129F, (and all the documents we sent were scanned).

yeah we got a receipt number started with a SRC.

I know that we have to wait and see what actually happens with the file, but I was curious if anybody had experience with this...

Well it sounds like you're stuck with TSC, but let us know! Last question: how do you know they scanned your documents? Just curious.

there was a black line of number and letters running down the side of each page so it looked like it was scanned

If you are going to send the packetvagain it will processed agin, so if you live in a new adress your packet will send to the new zone for you.

Abd you will get a new receipt number

Did they perhaps give you any information?

Like asking you to just resend them the money or an entire new application considering they kept your I-129f form?
