Well Met Everyone,

I paid my AOS fee and filled out the AOS I 864....but I am now unable to advance and do the DS-260, nor pay the IV Fee....is this another wait time....do I submit the documents of support to the NVC and then do the DS-260? Any help would be appreciated and thanks fopr reading my post.

you will have to wait for them to review the DS-261 choice of agent form before you can paid the IV fee. Once the IV fee is paid then you can fill out the DS-260 application form

If it has been a while you can call the NVC and have them review it over the phone, if a person will not do it, call again until someone will, it took me like 3 different times before I got someone on the phone that will do it.

Also if you Have not already sent in your AOS and IV packets you should, as that takes up to 60 days for them to review the packets. you do not have to paid the IV fee first before sending in the packets you will have enough time to pay the fee and fill out the DS-260 form while you are waiting for them to review your documents. You can save some waiting time this way

Very true. I just sent in my AOS and IV and I am still waiting on my DS 261. They told me to call back on Friday. Another rep told me to call in 42 days. Then a few friends said they are having systems issues. So many individuals don't even have paid on the AOS bill yet,. I paid this bill on the 3/4 and it still says in process but the funds are gone out of my account. What's going on I wish we truly knew. I am going to keep calling until they review with me. Good Luck

I am in the same situation, you must wait 42 days in average, until they send us IV fee, then we will have access to fill DS260 and wait for current our cases.

The NVC will tell you that but if you keep calling once or twice (or more if you want to) a week eventually you will get some one on the phone that will review the DS-261 on the phone for you. I call them 3 or 4 times before I got someone that would review it over the phone and not give me the 42 days lecture.

Yes, that's correct: a young man told me to call back this week to review it. But when I called after him it was the same old BS!

Thank you everyone for responding and being kind....I am a little confused....how can I save time....don't I do the DS-261 online...and if so...don't I have to wait until I can pay the IV Fee before filling it out...and what about sending it is...do I make a paper coy and send it in with more supporting documents?

Standing by...and thanks again
