How long should I wait after emailing my documents to the NVC before calling to see if they've been added to my case file? I'm not really in a hurry, but I do want to make sure they received everything.

I will say what a relief it is to have everything sent out! Since all I can do now is wait, I'm finally able to relax and enjoy this beautiful weather. It's out of my hands for the moment, which I'm quite happy about.

Since you aren't in a hurry, give them 5 business days. They should have it by then. Be warned though, the phone lines have been testing people's patients for weeks now, you will probably have to call 20-40 times none stop before actually being able to speak to a human.

I myself am really fed up right now because I've been calling for weeks and unable to even get past the options area and all I want to do is check if my case is complete at this point.

Thank you so much! I understand your frustration with trying to get through to them on the phone. I found I had the best luck on Thursday nights. Maybe I was just telling myself that to make me feel better, but I usually got through on my first handful of tries and my wait on hold was usually about 30 mins or so. I wouldn't bother calling. They will tell you something different every time. Some reps have even been telling people they don't send out EP confirmation emails, which is false. It's one of the downfalls of filing EP, we don't get a confirmation email/scan date for quite a while. It used to be about 2 weeks, then crept up to around 30 days. Mine took 31, another Canadian user Steven and Alice took 35 days, someone else recently got it in less than 30 days though.

Like you said though, just sit back, relax, and when you do finally get the email/scan date, you'll probably be close to halfway through the wait or over! That's a plus at least.
