Time between biometrics and being notified of being in line

Hey all!

I had my biometrics appointment on the 2nd of March in Las Vegas NV, and have been waiting for my case status to be updated to suggest being in line. I have seen other users (on other forums) at the same field office who have had biometrics taken after me and being notified within 2 days that they are now in line...

Any reason for mine to be taking longer? I realize it's probably within the timeframe for waiting, but I am just surprised it's taking longer than anyone else

Anyone got any thoughts or insights?

i had my bio on 2/25/2015 but i am still not in-line. dont know why its taking longer. You are not alone.

I wonder if some cases don't get the in line notification, and you just get the interview one? Maybe? Optimistic thinking? haha

I know that happened to someone in the December filiers group.

Have you considered calling to see if anything is going on?

Some people don't get some notifications. There are people whose status still said they were inline for interview scheduling a month after they became citizens. That's probably the exception rather than the rule, but it does happen.

Good to know! I will stay optimistic then!

Quick question - did you sign up for myUSCIS? I was thinking of signing up for an account a while ago but it wouldn't let select my correct citizenship on the personal info page. Now it seems that option has been changed to "Country/Region" - but that still makes me nervous. I guess that would still be USA?

Fingures cross hope we get the interview letter soon.

But what about people at the same office who have their biometrics a week after yours who get that notification? That's what's happened to me!

USCIS is very funny bussniess, and huge beurocracy.God knows whats going on. Why someone else will get the notification before you, who did bio week after.

Sometimes its just system updates quicker then others. Hope we get inline and get interview done.

I did not get notification for in-line and went straight for interview. I have received every single notification from my USCIS and most recently, my oath scheduling notification.

I think it depends on cases and office locations. You can guess-timate the time but will never be able to pin-point the exact wait time.

  • 5 weeks later...

Well, it's been 6 weeks since Biometrics, and still nothing. People who are on the same timeline as me at the same filed office have their interview next week.

It feels weird!

Believe me! You just can't exactly predict what happens based on other's timeline...In my case, I had to wait for more than 3 months after biometrics to get "in-line" notifications while my cousin, who applied with me at the same field office just had his oath completed...You just never know with USCIS.

Wow - that's crazy - sorry you had to wait so long!
