There is crazy and then there are these guys. The sad part is that they are not crazy, they are just prejudiced SOBs.

The young men were given wide latitude to make choices. With any choice there is consequence. At least they still have time to learn from this.

I knew some wild and crazy SOB's when I was in school. Never heard any of them say stuff like this. It's not boy's being boys. It's boys being racists. Hope they find time to grow up somewhere along the way.

Having said that they are entitled to their First Amendment rights and nobody is questioning that. They are free to continue their fraternity elsewhere, just not in the private campus of the university. I'm sure there are several Christian colleges that would welcome them with open arms.

It's likely you already know that Christians neither fit the PC mold, nor will they ever fit the PC mold. Christians draw attention to PC things like this. Maybe that's the source of their bellyache.

I was making a counter point to an erroneous claim that this type of behavior should qualify as critical thinking, therefore belonging in the halls of academia; as though the university should have taken no action.

I don't believe these thugs would have been welcomed at a christian college anymore than at any other institution that abhors hatred and prejudice.

Because christian colleges and universities are commonly known to require their alumni to abide by particular rules. My point was that civil discourse and critical thinking is not a free for all when it comes to private institutions. In fact I don't think these thugs would have been welcomed at a Mormon or Muslim institution either.
