Hi,

I called UCIS at 1-800-375-5283 to inquireabout the status of my IR5 application for my mother. Our receipt date is Oct 2, 2014. It is past 5 month window. I was told by the CS rep that they are currently processing Sept 16th 2014. They are 13 working days in between.

Do you know how long does it take for our case to be picked up.

Happy for you akpman! This is just so frustrating as our priority date is 9/22/14, before yours, and we haven't heard anything. 5 months should not be posted as the processing times because that's just not accurate. Hope the rest of your journey is smooth!

All I did is to call UCIS. They told me that it will take some more time and told me to check month later. It was a pleasant surprise. I am assuming your case should be processed any time now. Try calling UCIS (1-800-375-5283) and get a clarification.

our file date was sept 9, 14....called uscis got lies ...called again got told Nebraska is 24 days behind on processing.....called last week again was told an inquirey would be made on our case got an email this morning.....

The status of this service request is:

We have placed your case on a processing hold, because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

I dont get the security checks thing we file K1 ...2 years ago nothing has changed except denied at interview cause they didnt believe we had a bonafide relationship not because of a security risk and have file I130 since then .....Govt is crazy... I absolutely believe none of them will give you an honest answer.....

I wish everyone on here the best of luck in this crazy journey just to be with the ones we love.....
