birth certificates of children require for US application?

Hi there,

My daddy is applying for his citizenship. He is been a LPR for 16 years and he is 62. We have all the documents ready to go, but I wonder if we have to include our birth certificates or naturalization documents with his paperwork. I don't see that requirement anywhere in the checklist, but I want to make sure. We are three siblings all US citizens and over 18 years. The form just ask for the information on all his children but fails to indicate if any proof is required.

No birth certificates needed. I listed all my children as requested on the application but I did not include any proof or documentation.

06/01 - Filed I-130/I-485

01/03 - Conditional LPR approved

05/05 - Conditions removed

12/13 - Divorced USC

10/10/14 - Filed N-400 based on 5+yrs LPR

10/24/14 - NOA

11/12/14 - Fingerprinted

11/14/14 - In line e-notification

12/01/14 - E-notification of interview scheduled

12/05/14 - Received interview letter - Interview scheduled for January 8th.

01/08/15 - Passed citizenship interview and recommended for approval!

01/19/15 - In line for oath ceremony

02/19/15 - Oath scheduled for March 6th, 2015!

03/06/15 - Became a US citizen! :dancing:

Cutiepie...I have read several interview experiences where they were requested, they would need to be certified copies. I have them ordered for my children just in case I get asked, if not needed i will have them on file for future use.

This may have more to do with children from the marriage itself when people are applying through the 3 yr marriage rule.

I have a daughter from a previous marriage and 2 stepsons, they did not ask anything about those children and neither was there any indication during the application process that this kind of documentation was required.
