If your husband is working, and making sufficient income to cover your mother

and rest of your household, then you should be fine. Your husband's income

must be over 125% of the poverty limit. Count how many are in household (plus your mother),

and look up what the poverty limit is...and then add another 25% to that, and that will be absolute

minimum your husband needs to earn in a year in order to satisfy the affidavit of support.

http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/15poverty.cfm

Also, if you have questions on any forms, include I-864, you need to be more specific.

It's hard to get specific answers to general questions.

The income for the household isn't the problem. I am the petitioner and i have to fill up the i864 form no matter, but does my husband need to fill up i864 also or i864a? Im confused how does it work?

ok - here's what i think:

1. I-864 on you

2. I-864A on husband

show joint tax return on each I-864. sure, it's duplicate work, but better to show it than get a checklist letter response about the lack.

The question I'll like to ask is, can you file for your mother with a Permanent Residency Card?

No, as a permanent resident, one cannot file a petition for one's mother. The member meant that her MOTHER will move to the USA with an immigrant VISA. ~~~
