Hi everyone!! I am just wondering if this is normal during the process.. :)

So I had my interview last Feb. 20, 2015 and the CO just told me " everything's fine, you may go to the releasing area" and that's it!

And the guy to the releasing area just told me " they will just deliver my visa and I can go home now ".

Now my question, its been 9 days (working) since i had my interview but still status in the CEAC website is "READY" and a remarks "check after 2 working days" it was updated last Feb.23 and until now the latest status is just the same.

Has anyone here have gone the same situation? Please enlighten me :)

Thanks.

Patience. Based on "averages" your status may change in the next week. Every situation is unique, so it is hard to make any concrete statements. I can provide you my situation below.

Our K-1 Interview was February 12th. It stayed READY until the 25th of February (8 working days) at which time it went to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. It then changed to ISSUED on the 27th. The passport/visa was delivered on March 4th (13 business days after the interview).

I will be helpful if you complete your timeline, specifically you should indicate what type of visa. You mention DS-261 so I don't believe you are are working on a K-1 Fiance(e) Visa...and this is the K-1-Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures Forum. The process between the two visa types is different.

You should totally start your own thread as this is completely irrelevant to the topic.

Just have patience. It takes time for the visa to actually be ready to the point where 2GO can come and pick it up from the embassy. No one can tell you how long it will take as it varies a lot.

Most everyone goes through that situation... be patient.

Pop over to the Philippines forum and you will find your wait is very normal.
