  • 2 weeks later...

381 days later and my GC is being produced and mailed.

Hi Tomriesgo,

How was your status changed online?

My interview was on 4/5/2016, approved on the spot, and I-130 status changed approved on 4/6/2016, I-485 changed interview was completed, and my case must be reviewed.

Then on 4/13/2016 morning, my I-485 status changed to " new card has been proceeded", and in the afternoon, my i-485 status changed to" case was approved, approve notice was mailed?" So what will be the next?? When I could receive the GC? I am worried because I booked a fly ticket to travel oversea on 4/26/16...please help...

Yes you'll need a new medical, I had mine and the officer asked for it. He said those who turn up without a new medical have an incomplete case and will not be granted approval meaning the case could be delayed even longer. So definitely get a new medical as it will be over 12 months old.

Ugh. Which visa were you adjusting from? Do you know if that rule applied differently for former k1 visa holders?

Also, you did the new one anyways even though you weren't Rfe'd?

I adjusted status from the VWP, and no did not have any RFE. It does't matter what visa you came on if its been a year since you submitted your paper work you'll need a new medical. If you don't turn up with one and they ask to see it you'll simply be sent away. I had my lawyer with me and they were the ones that said a medical was necessary. This was proved to be right when the officer asked for it.
