AP&EAD cards

Hi Vj Family

My AP card status says :-Case was approved . On March 2, 2015, we approved your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice.

My EAD card status says New card is being produced .On March 2, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

I thought that the AP&EAD card was a single card and would be approved at the same time (?)

Potentially how soon do you guys think we would receive the card?

if you applied for them at the same time, then both EAD and AP will be on that one single card called a combo card.

In theory, you should get it within 90 days from the date they received your application, but at this point, your application being approved, you can get it as soon as next week, if you are lucky.

Thanks Praise the Lord , no we didn't have an expedite . Sorry but I had made a mistake on the dates in my timeline . My doubt is why the AP card status says that it will send out a notice and the EAD says about the card?

don't sweat the "status"..both are approved and you will receive card in a couple days.

Same thing just happened to my wife. Exactly what it says in the OP. Then yesterday we receive mailed copy AP NOA2. Nothing on EAD. Is something wrong?

It says "we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX" for the EAD Receipt #, just March 19, 2015. AP was approved March 18, 2015.

12-16-2014 Received 16 emails and 16 text NOA messages

01-05-2015 Received Biometrics appointment letter for (01-12-2015)

01-12-2015 Had Biometrics (fingerprint & picture) - Required Marriage Certificate!!!

02-17-2015 EAD and AP is approved

02-23-2015 Received AP is approval letter

02-27-2015 Applied for SS card name change (they took her SS card)

Thanks for this. The thing is, my wife's EAD does not say approved on the uscis.gov. It just says "we ordered your new card". But it is good to see that you got your Card 2 days after receiving AP approval letter. I'm guessing you never received an EAD approval letter?

Unless you checked the web site everyday, you missed the "EAD approval" update.

It comes and goes quickly...like in 1 or 2 days if I recall correctly.

EAD approval letter comes with the EAD/AP combo card basically.

Hang in there for about 5 to 10 days, and you'll receive the card.

You can check the USPS tracking once they post that number on the web site.

Absolutely nothing wrong here. You will receive the EAD and AP together on one card.

The combo card is not guaranteed. Only about 1% of those who apply get them separate, so dont worry, you should get the combo card.

Just wanted to update this thread that my wife did, in fact, receive her combo card in the mail on March 27, 2015. I read everything it came with & it is the combo card. The wording on the bottom of the card is different if it's only an EAD. For anyone else wondering, just read everything it comes with so you can be sure what you actually receive(d).
