Hello all,

This is my first post on the forum and please be patient with me :-) .

My fiance received the third package from GuangZhou , China today but really got us confused at this point. On the instruction, it requires DS-260 form. Then, we visited the link https://ceac.state.gov/IV, it shows that she needs to complete the form DS-160. It is totally different form from the instruction.

We are apply K1 VISA for her, and the file received being sent to GuangZhou. I tried to google it but not really found anything useful. I know we need to fill out DS-160 for K1 but why the instruction said otherwise is confused me the most. My question is to find out what form we need to submit ? I do not want to delay my process because send it back the wrong form. Please anyone

Thank you for your help and time.

Wai

ds-160

helpful hint - update your profile to include the country, and this question would have popped into the China Portal.

I think GuangZhou US embassy made a mistaken to include immigrant instruction instead of non-immigrant one.

Thank you for your help and it really help me a lot.

I will complete ds-160 then.

its pretty straightforward stuff -

the 'gospel' is up at

ustraveldocs.com/cn

imo, pay the visa fee at citic bank, fill out the ds-160, and self-schedule.

sent? nono no - forget 'sent' concept.

log in to that website, register document delivery address, do something about payment for visa fee, do something about filing in the ds-160.

fwiw - Guangzhou IV does send something out to the beneficiary, eventually.

Same thing happened to me this week. Fiancee received instruction page yesterday titled "Notice for Immigrant Visa Applicants" that instructs her to fill out DS-260.

I think they just slipped the wrong instruction page into the the K-1 packet. They must have meant to send this one --> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/538796-guangzhou-guz-p3-p4/
