Proof of on-going relationship - Pictures question

44 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

My fiancee and I have a lot of pictures together. We have several pictures in Manila along with from the places we went on vacation together such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, Bohol. I was wondering if I can use pictures from those places we visited (Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, Bohol) if I don't have the flight boarding passes for those? Unfortunately I only kept my boarding passes to and from US-Manila. Or should I only use the pictures that we have of us in Manila since my boarding passes provide evidence I was actually in Manila?

Thanks in advance!

In our case, they didn't asked for boarding passes (though we had them), only our pictures together. So I think, they would only ask you for pictures (hopefully), coz anyways pictures are also strong evidence that you guys really have been spending time with each other. :-) I hope this helps.

Same answer. Can use either but any combo of pictures should be fine. Don't go crazy as they only need about a dozen photos.

You're allowed to send many pictures if you can!

If you can make stories out of your pictures much better ;)

Passport entry/pass is enough proof to support if you are concerned of your lost boarding passes.

Pictures are easily photo shopped and really don't mean much at the time of interview.

Your visa application signed by the petitioner with jail and monetary punishment if they lie is the biggest evidence

Of course you can use pictures taken anywhere in the universe with or without matching boarding passes.

Thought it would have been nice to have boarding passes, see if you can dig through your emails

or even to contact the ticket agency/airline to see if you can get a copy of your etickets.

If not, at the worst, makes copies of any relevant passport stamps both of you have gotten

during these trips.

Also, you can provide hotel receipts, currency exchange receipts, etc.

if you want to demonstrate that you were there...

But keep in mind that they aren't too concern with where you were,

but rather, they are more interested in seeing evidence of physical meetings

and bona fide relationship.

For the initial I-129F petition you need evidence of having met in person within the past two years, pictures are considered secondary evidence by USCIS, you will want copies of your boarding pass when you flew to Manila, copies of your passport stamps for entry and exiting (along with copy of the BIO page) and any other evidence of that nature, then you can add a half dozen pictures showing you two together.

Ah that's right, I believe proof of an on-going relationship during the initial is I-129F petition is optional, while proof of meeting in person within the last 2 years is optional.

I still plan on proving proof of an on-going relationship with my I-129F based on this statement on this sites' K1 Guide:

Additionally, please note that providing proof of your ongoing and genuine relationship in this package may benefit you by allowing the consulate to have access to this information prior to them formally contacting the non US Citizen fiance. Many high risk consulates approach cases with a skeptical eye and providing this information early on in the original I-129F package will help them in their preliminary review of your case.

And finally , is the Philippines considered a "high risk consulate"?

Thanks everyone!

It is fairly easy to get a I-129f or I-130 petition approved from the USCIS for the philippines now. USCIS is still expediting visa so your petition could be fast especially if you get CSC service center

I heard the embassy is one of the easiest for the interview too

The proof of ongoing relationship we submitted for our I-129F packet includes pictures of our trips, boarding pass, attraction tickets from our trip (nyc broadway show, niagara tickets, etc) stamps on passport, pictures with her/my family, facebook/skype/twitter communication (whichever is applicable), and email communications. The tip I have read and done while creating our packet is don't overdo it..try to make a story of those evidence and 1-2 pictures for each trip would be enough.

Also, during the interview there were 4 girls and including myself that were asked for additional pictures. The CO told me to tell him the story of the pictures I gave him and we end up talking about our trip in NYC, meeting her family and her meeting my family. Goodluck.
