Early interview Request (both overseas)

HI VJ friends, we both stay overseas.

Have a question for you guys. I want to know is there a way to request an early interview once the case is complete with the following reason stated below:

1.wife(petitioner) is pregnant

2.Political situation in Bangladesh is not so good. (none of us is familiar with the situation in Bangladesh as both of us were grown up in abroad.)

3. petitioners summer class is starting in april

1 and 3 are no without a doubt.

2 is more than likely no. Is her life in imminent danger? Even then, the answer is no,

For requesting an early interview, here are the answers for the given reasons

1. No
2. Depends, does the current political situation constitute imminent danger to the beneficiary? Even if the answer is yes, the granting of an early interview is still discretionary.
3. No

Expedites for pregnancy or plans etc =No

Maybe for political climate IF the state dept. thinks so...discretionay

Maybe you can email the embassy and try your luck. A friend of mine tried an earlier date and they were granted. they both live overseas. Their reason was work related.

It is still depending on the embassy but there's no harm in trying.

There are cases where an early interview date or request for changing the date was granted and is a sole discretion of the embassy. So there is no harm in trying.

However keep in mind; once a case is approved by NVC they send a list of cases to embassy on a regular basis and embassy tries to set the appointments in a timely manner and their schedules are pretty tight. Trying to accommodate someone mean someone in the list needs to be pushed back and there can be a domino effect. Beside embassy may run some basic check with cases which takes some time as well. Based on the reasons you are trying to get an early date MAY not get you what you want as they aren't complelling enough for an early date. However you never know and you can always try.
