Thank you amp 2 for the first hand knowledge, no there is no marriage date on birth certificate so we should be good to go as you say. The child will apply for his first passport when school lets out in the phillipines this April. Good luck and good wishes to you on your interview!

I am preparing to file a k1 & k2 visa at the same time. My fiance was never married to the father of her son and the father has abandon them , although he lives close by but never sees or supports the child for over 2 years. Do I need to have the father sign any form to allow the child to travel to usa?

My 2 minor kids uses their biological father's last name and was lis5ed in the kid's birth certificate as the father but we were not legally married. I was able to bring my 2 kids here with no father's consent or any issues till my kid's got their US citizenship through me.Now theyre legally adopted by my hubby.
