Police record validity period

Hi,

My fiancé and I are preparing for her K1 Interview. Unfortunately we are stuck in TSC hell, so it may not happen until June. In January she went to a police station in Moscow, completed the paperwork and paid the fee to get her record. It came ina couple of weeks later. The question I have is how long will this record be valid WRT the K1 interview? Will a January record still be good/valid in May/June/July?

9/11/14 - Petition received @ USCIS lockbox
9/11/14 - NOA1 Email and text message received
9/15/14 - NOA1 Official notice date
9/18/14 - NOA1 hard copy received
12/9/14 - "Updated" likely because of website repairs, like many of us received
4/20/15 - NOA2 text and email (221 days)

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

5/13/15 - Left the NVC (5 days)

5/15/15 - Electronic version arrived at the embassy (2 days)

5/20/15 - Paper copy arrived at the embassy (7 days)

6/4/15 - Status changed to AP (which meant that we could schedule the interview)

6/16/15 - Medical

6/17/15 - K1 APPROVED!!!!

6/30/15 - Passport and sealed envelope delivered via courier

In a lot of countries the police cert is valid for one year. You could get your fiance emailing the Moscow embassy to double check.

I myself already have gotten the police certs for the foreign countries I lived in before - because these can take unpredictable amounts of time - so I checked with the Frankfurt embassy. Apparently it is at the embassy's discretion.

Your Russian police certificate is good for one year from the date issued. If your interview falls within that time your OK..Good luck

My fiance lives in Moscow, we just sent the application for her K-1 visa last month, I know it will take some time before she gets the interview at the American embassy in Moscow, and I want to have all the paperwork ready, can you tell me the address where your fiance went to get his police record? before my fiancee moved to Moscow, she lived in Omsk her whole life, I know she need to get her police record from there to, do you have any idea where she might go? thank you!!

First, please :time: fill in your timeline. It helps everyone and only takes you a few minutes. It's self explanatory and there are guides that instruct you on how to do it. So please take a few minutes to complete that so that you can help us all get better data.

Second, my fiance is a female, so she went to get her police record near some shopping mall just South of the center of Moscow. I will ask her for the contact information and pass it along if you'd like. She also lived part of her life in a different city, however her entire record was available in Moscow. So there's a good chance that your fiance won't need to get her record from Omsk. She can ask when she calls this same office that my fiance (Elena) got her stuff from.
