Hi! I am planning to go to the Philippines this coming April 2015 for a 2 week vacation with my husband. My concern is I still have a Philippine passport with my old name and still good until 2018, I am a 2 year Green Card Holder with my new name. My question is, Can I still use my old passport? If Yes, what are my supporting documents needed upon entering the U.S.? Thanks in advance... ;)

Thank you... ;) I was about to get a new Philippine Passport with my new name.

Just need MC, BC, GC and Filipino passport and you will have no problems entering either country.

If you gain US citizenship before your passport expires no problem then get a new Philippine passport after becoming a US Citizen and have dual citizenship and enjoy all your Filipino and American citizenship rights.

Did you file a Report of Marriage with the nearest Philippine consulate after you married? You are required to do that within 30 days of your marriage.

Wellllll required is sort of strong wording, don't know that I would go that far. :)

Hayst Salamat (Thank You)... I'm still working on my driving for now so going to the nearest Philippine Consulate here by myself is not possible. I have to drag my husband to go with me but he is working the whole week so finding time going to Philippine consulate to report my marriage or getting a new Philippine passport with my new name is a bit of a challenge. That's why I'm utilizing whatever I have to travel back to the Philippines. Thank you for all the help and advice. This forum is very amazing!!!

Not sure about required.

Been married for 7 years and never reported my marriage to the Philippines. Never renewed my Philippine passport though, but I now have US passport.

I think it's only required if you want to get a new passport under your married name. But to travel to the Philippines with your current passport under your maiden name is not that hard. Like everyone else said, bring your GC and Marriage Certificate with you. Also make sure to photocopy them ahead of time.

One of my travels from the Philippines, they kept a copy of my docs for some reason.

Report of marriage is done through the mail, don't need to do it in person.

And no it has zero effect on upcoming trip to the Phils.
