Anyone Here With Similar Case As Mine?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone here have the same case as mine...not about being under AP but more on the circumstances of having a tourist visa, had sputum test)

- With an F4 IV Application (i'm a derivative by the way).

- With an active (10-year) US Tourist Visa. Got it last 2012.

- Had to go through the sputum exercise (October 2014) - me and my wife. When we were being scheduled for the sputum collection, the nurse was asking for my passport, as they have to forward it to USEM, according to her. I asked if I can keep it I may need to travel before the end of 2014. I was able to keep and they just had it noted. The nurse though warned me not to travel to the US as I will be denied/refused entry.

... so, me and wife passed the sputum test - smear and culture and got our vaccinations in Dec 29, 2014.

- Had our interview last January 23, 2015. Passed the interview (approved/completed were the words of the consul).

- The consul told me that since I had a sputum test, they still "need to do something". That while the usual processing time takes a week, ours can take 2 weeks. My wife also had a sputum test by the way, but the consul did not made any comments/remarks regarding her case.

- In to the releasing counter, the guy told me that "they had to delete something from my record"

- Our passports, the whole family (of 5), are with them since the interview.

Just some thoughts -

- my wife and I both underwent sputum test.

- my wife doesn't have a US VISA, just me.

- I was warned not to travel to the US.

- "they had to delete" something from my record.

- Me thinking : Is it about deleting a warning or a watch-list entry under my name? Is it about cancelling my tourist visa? That should be done whether I underwent sputum test or otherwise right?

Been following "Administrative Processing" thread/s by the way as that's my status now. :)

Anyone?

Thanks and Cheers!

If it were me I would not worry. I would sit back and relax and wait for another week or two. If something is not moving by then, contact USEM by phone to determine the most current status.

There is nothing you can control at this time so relax. 99% of the time we see people so nervous over what turns out to be nothing that they even laugh at themselves for being so worried.

Patience.

I am pretty much into same situation as youjust my interview was done before sputum test.

IntervieW was on Oct 29 no problem, officerjust gave me 221g for the exam result

Done the 3 days sputum test on oct 29 30 n 31. Got the sputum report 2nd xray and one specialist full report on jan 20.

Send out all document to consulant together with passport on jan 22 advised by the clinic where i did my sputum test that the visa valid time is only 3 mths from the sputum finished date, if i dont enter to US within the 3 mths time frame, then my visa will be cancelled. (normal people gets 1 year for applicants need sputum test only 3 mths)

Now i am still waiting my visa to come back, it shows on the status was AP,then Ready, then At NVC, today changed to ready again. It states that i can come back again and check 2 business days later so i think should be no problem.

Dont worry, it should be fine

@Greenbaum. Have started laughing at myself since yesterday actually. Just got curious if there's somebody else with the same case as mine. That having a tourist visa and going through the sputum exercise will bring minor hassle. But I must admit, can't stop myself from worrying. But thanks to this community. It's so comforting to see how everyone encourages everyone.

@Yolanda Sum. No 221g for me so i'm just in a limbo right now. No action needed from my end except to wait :). Had our sputum collection in Oct 27, 28 & 29. Had our pulmonary evaluation on the 29th where we were told that the smear test was negative but have to wait for 2 months. Our medical is valid until March 29, 2015, that means we have to leave on or before that date.

... yeah, we'll be fine. :)

Again, just got curious and trying to understand what having a tourist (US) visa, being an immigrant applicant and undergoing sputum test can affect the whole process.

Cheers!

Personally.... don't try to play the guessing game as to what they are doing... just be happy you are approved ... then be patient you visa is on it's way.

Hi Hank_,

Yeah. Thanks for the reminder, that's really the right attitude. Just be thankful and be patient. Indeed, everything will come to pass....

Hmmm... thought I have to share my, our family's whole story. It seems most of you here are K1/Fiancee. Ours is F4 - Brothers/Sisters of US Citizen. Here's our journey -

- PD : Aug1990

- Became current sometime in 2010.

- Complied will all the documentary requirements and sent to NVC.

- Paid our IV Fee in November 2010.

- the unthinkable happened (at least for me) in December 2010 - the PD retrogressed by around 2 years!!!

- received a "Documentarily Qualified" status from NVC in February 2011. But until our PD becomes current, we just have to wait.

- Fast forward to 2014... Jan 2014, we received our P4. We were advised that our interview schedule is March 18, 2014. But I was too busy with my (on-going) projects then so we had to request for a new schedule.Told my wife to do it before the end of 2014. New interview schedule was October 28, 2014.

- We had our medical in Oct 2014, had sputum test (me and my wife) so we had to cancel the interview schedule. 'Got the results last Dec 29, 2015. Then interview last Jan 13.

... you see, we've been eating "waiting patiently" for breakfast :) :) :)... if there's such a thing.

... but yeah, we just have to wait for a little more :).

Cheers!!!
