We went threw and at the end passed medical, they didn't have one of the vaccines, but says we can get it in the USA, which says January 30th. Do we need to get this one shot before or believe what St Luke's says about the getting it done in USA?

No issue, the vaccination can be received once in the USA, you can go to a county health clinic to get the shot as they are the cheapest.

Vaccinations are not required for the K-1 visa. They are required once you are in the US and before filing AOS. So yes, you can get the missing vaccination here in the US, and it will not affect the approval of your visa.

Yes we are IR1/CR1. Thank you all for all the help!

Like Hank said no problem once in the USA. If you are not leaving for a month there is a good chance they will have the vaccine available before you leave so return to SLEC and have them complete the shots since you already paid your SLEC medical fee and all vac are included.

You're right. There are certain vaccinations that are required before the visa can be issued. She needs to check the list of required vaccinations to insure she has gotten the required vaccinations. At this point she is assuming that what SLEC told her is the truth but missing a vaccinations that is required could ruin her chances at the visa. She should always check.

She should check against the list here with your copy of the 3025. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/vaccinations.html

Vaccination Requirements

U.S. immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of immigrant visas. See Vaccination Requirements for IV Applicants for the list of required vaccinations and additional information.

Doesn't IR-1 have to get it before she leaves Phil? After all they are putting a green card in her hands.

See my answer above.

So there is such a thing as a vaccine she should get but nobody will make her get in Phil? Kind of like with a K-1 where they recommend a booster to the MMR but if you don't get the booster nothing will come of it? Sorry but a bit confused, and since I frequently advise people here, I want a solid undertanding of this myself.

We do not mind. Better to finally be together and go get the shot then have them say still awaiting further medical tests, like some people. Hope and pray everyone has the same luck as we have had!
