Was your K1 visa valid for 6 months or??

I am curious to hear from people that received their K1 visa from the Vancouver consulate. When you received your K1 visa was it valid for 6 months? If not, how long was it valid for before you had to enter the USA?

My fiancé and I are trying to plan our wedding, but because things are all happening way quicker than expected we might need to postpone me leaving for a few months after I am issued a K1 Visa so I can continue working here to help pay for wedding costs.

You can also book your interview date out by some time, even reschedule it if needed and inform Vancouver that you need an extension on your noa2.
