So I am finally there. Sent, ready to receive my future wife in the states :) when that time comes. We are hoping for a miracle and that we do not get TX, but since I am from Virginia then it will is looking like the place it will go. But who knows, maybe a miracle will happen ;). I will keep up-to-date on progress, but hopefully it will not be too drawn out. If we do get TX and we hear nothing by August, we may just withdraw the petition and be married there in the Philippines, I will just live there for a short while and then file directly.

So the next step is waiting, but also preparing for the documents that she needs. I am familiar with the stuff needed for the I-134, the DS-160 and the DS-230 (both once NAO2 is approved), is there anything else she can do while we wait? Immunizations, how about NBI clearance, etc...?

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

DS-230 is not needed. I would wait before getting the documents for the interview, as they should be dated closer to that time. Immunizations are given at the medical (they are included free of charge with your medical fee). Best thing to do now is just wait.

Thanks for the advice, will hold off from doing anything then. Time to start would be at the time of the NAO2?

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Too add to the comment above, she shouldn't expect anything from the embassy once the NAO2 is granted correct? Mainly because everything is listed online.

Most process' can be viewed online. Do you have hank's website address that is a handy dandy to do list. If not here is the address: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/#

I would recommend that you go over any documents you already have to ensure there are no mistakes in spelling to include Birth Cert., Passport etc. If you find errors get them corrected now while you have the time.

Once you get your MNL# then it's time to get moving because everything is predicated on that number.

And the last thing you should do is update your timeline here on VJ. It helps anyone who is trying to help you.

Return here to ask any questions. Lots of good people here willing to help out.

If you are in the Texas Service Center I would advise not worrying about the NOA2 or anything for a minimum of 3 months. I mean literally nothing has happened since I received my NOA1 in September. As far as tax documents and the I-134, don't even bother considering the interview won't take place until 2015. Your return for 2014 would be most relevant, something that can't be done until next year of course. I would suggest advancing on the complicated things only. For example, police reports for any countries in which your fiance has lived for more than 6 months. If it is difficult to get a birth certificate in the fiancee's country. Other than that, even if you have done nothing, there is about a 1-1.5 month window between the NOA2 and interview, giving you plenty of time to gather the needed documents. Pray you aren't in the TSC.

If your fiance is from the Phillipines you can ignore most of what i said and get started. Their applications are processed lightening fast.

She is from the Philippines, Will be visiting again at the end of December, quite stoked about it. Everything should be correct, I did look over the documents and compared at least 6 or 7 times. Then had a friend that went through the same thing look at them as well. So hopefully everything is good. I also specifically asked my fiance about what is written on her birth certificate and how to correctly spell. So hopefully everything is correct. But will definitely take another look. Thanks for all the advice :). I was actually looking for Hank's website earlier. I am certainly preparing for TSC, but hope I get lucky and package is sent to CSC. Package is suppose to arrive at Dallas Lockbox on December 1.

When judging by your list you are ILL prepared not well prepared. No DS-230 BTW getting married takes even longer, K-1 is the fastest. :)

Awesome! Best of luck to you. Buckle down for a long wait regardless of the service center. Ours took about 9 months from NOA1 to NOA2 and we were at CSC (CSC and VSC were going back and forth in terms of speed at the time). My only advice is to be patient. It would be a waste of time to start the K-1 and the get frustrated and begin the potentially longer process of CR-1. Hang in there and wait it out...it will happen.

Thanks everyone for the advice :) it is well appreciated. For the DS-230 haha, thought that was a requirement for the I-129F, thanks for the clarification. I guess at this point it is pointless to do a NBI clearance, besides that only takes like a few days to receive correct? In a way I kind of wish VSC was still doing the I-129F. Looking forward to this adventure. I assume I can visit anytime I want even with the visa in progress, she just cannot come and visit here in the USA while waiting for Visa.

Curious, do they really send you a text message and an email when you get the NOA1 case number?
