Wrong VJ timeline?

I'm really confused as to how so many people get their service centers confused? I'm fairly certain most of the people who got their NOA2 this month and only got their NOA1 in September aren't actually at TSC. Does anyone actually know around what date TSC is at? I heard from my lawyer that when CSC finishes all of their papers, a lot of us TSC filers will get transferred to CSC and some at VSC apparently as well (I'm not too sure about the VSC one, unless they're miraculously coming back from the dead).

Speaking from personal experience, the reason mine was originally entered incorrectly was due to it being wrong in my personal information, but correct on my VJ timeline. Then someone on VJ kindly explained this to me. It needs to be correct in both places, which is why so many people get it wrong I believe. Just thought I'd share this!

I don't think there is a mistake here as her Receipt Number starts from SRC - meaning TSC.

Maybe TSC is moving faster now

I don't think Nationality/Citizenship will come an important factor in the approval. She is filing from United Arab Emirates, not even from Philippines. This is just my opinion Maybe I'm wrong

Philippines are still being expedited and there are also other reasons for expedites for various hardship situations etc.

Any idea where your lawyer would of heard of such an interesting tidbit of speculation?

As for service center confusion, well there's a lot of reasons why a person might get confused. They had no idea when they registered, they didn't understand the difference, or the most common is that they sent it to Dallas as everyone does and believes that is the actual service center. If I hadn't of learned about it on here, I certainly wouldn't of had a clue.

However not all persons who have been recently approved are actually CSCers. For instance Philippine cases are expedited regardless of what service center they go to -- that includes TSC. TSC is always backlogged so they will not be processed as fast as they would be at CSC, but they are still completed quite fast by their standard. In addition there are a few other reasons for expediting cases.

TSC claims they are working in April. But we can clearly see they are actually working in May and June for normal cases.

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number WAC********. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

We mailed it to Texas, as we thought we have to mail it there, and our file was transferred to CSC.

Actually you were not transferred. Everyone sends their applications to Texas Lockbox regardless of where they live. From there, based on your state of origin you are sent to CSC or TSC. This is not considered a transfer. A transfer is something that happened earlier this year, when those who had been waiting at TSC for months were notified that their cases would now be moved to CSC to lessen the load. Selecting Texas as your service center loads inaccurate data into the timeline since you are actually not transferred and you are being processed at California.

Dallas is the location you mail your petition to. They receive it and distribute it. It's just a coincidence that it's in Texas, it could be in any other state, and they would then send you to TSC or CSC depending on where you are from.

No clue.. She just gets them from "trusted sources", which is why I try not to pay too much attention to them LOL!

I mean I can understand mixing up the Texas lockbox with TSC, I did it as well way in the beginning, but on the NOA1 it states clearly which SC you got sent to.

I'm aware not all confused their SC's but that question was mainly for a reference idea since the last time TSC actually checked what dates they were working on was September 30th.

I'm just mildly annoyed with myself if anything because I keep checking the dates on VJ and they're getting me excited for no reason ????
