Hello everyone, I'm from Morocco and I want to apply for a tourist visa :
I need to know the documents required (they don't specify that in detail on the embassy website)
If you ever applied I could really use your help cause I don't want my application to be refused, I'm 24 years old I just started working like 6 months ago, I have no company nor property in my name, just family and a job.

What should I do ?

Thank you in advance

I applied. From memory everything was detailed on the Consulate site.

Nobody wants their application to be refused.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Not sure how many applicants own a company.must be very small.

Totality of your circumstances matter. Not just one aspect.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Morocco is tough to get a tourist visa. You have to show strong ties to your country so that they know that you will return and not stay in the US. The application is pretty straight forward, but I don't see many if any young men without a great job and wife and kids to go back to getting one. Good luck

All you can do is apply, go to the interview and be completely honest. No-one here can tell you if you'll get approved or not.

And there is no document in the world that can guarantee you getting approved. If there was then I'd print off a couple of dozen and become an instant millionaire!

But there isn't so I'll just stay poor.

August 2000: We start e-mailing. I'm in Bosnia, she's in Florida

October 29th 2000: She sends me e-mail asking if I would marry her

October 29th 2000(5 seconds later): I say yes

November 2000: She sends me tickets to Orlando for when I get back

December 6th 2000: Return from Bos

December 11th 2000: Fly to Orlando, she meets me at airport

December 22nd 2000: I fly back to UK

January 3rd 2001: She flies to UK (Good times)

Mid February 2001: Pregnancy test Positive

Mid February 2001: She flies back to US

March 2001: Miscarriage, I fly to US on first flight I can get

May 2001: I leave US before my 90 days are up

June 2001: I fly back to US, stopped at airport for questioning as I had only just left

September 2001: Pregnancy test Positive again

September 2001: She falls sick, I make decision to stay to look after her as I am afraid I may have problems getting back in.

April 16th 2002: Our son is born, we start getting stuff together for his passport

March 6th 2003: We leave US for UK as family

Early April 2003: Family troubles make her return to US, I ask Embassy in London about possibilities of returning to US

April 16th 2003: London Embassy informs me that I will be banned from the Visa Waiver Program for 10 years, my little boys first birthday

June 13th 2006: I-129f sent

August 11th 2006: NOA1 Recieved

After our relationship breaks down she admits to me that she had never bothered to start the application process

I just had my Tourist Visa accepted and was given 1 year 1 entry. my thoughts to you is this: money does not matter to the embassy and to the CO. In my interview they did not ask me about money, neither about what I am going to do there. They only wanted to know that I am coming back after i finish my visit period. I also did not have any property in my name but again they dont care about money. The following might be of help to you if you could prove as this is what i showed during my interview:

1-That you have been out of your country before

2- If you are currently studying show them a school certificate to prove that you will come back for your studies

3- Show them your job contract and work certificate

4- show them your work leave certificate for your travel. in other words ask your employer to write you a letter that you have off and that you coming back to work after you travel.

and of course BE HONEST.. Good luck!

Thanks a lot yousnina that's very encouraging, quick question : must all the documents be translated, even the bank statements? I mean there are only numbers in there which is totally understandable in any language isn't it?

Hello everyone,

Soo here is the situation, in my Application form I stated that I've already been in England ( I was planning to visit london before my US visa appointment, but sadly my Uk visa got refused for stupid reasons). so now in my us application form it might seem that I lied about england.

I'm thinking that maybe if I present my uk refusal letter and a letter explaining the situation it might sort things out.

What do you think ?

That could make things tricky.

The form asks you what countries you have visited at the time of filling it out, not ones you plan to.

It might look to the CO that you tried to fabricate a travel history to improve your chances of an approval.

You should never lie on any form when it comes to US visas.

They also might be curious about why your UK visa was denied.

Why was your UK visa refused?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The UK is generally considered an easy option compared to the US. How do you intend addressing that issue?
