Question about letter of intent dates

Hi everyone! I'm about to send my signed letter of intent to my fiance and I'm not sure if I should put today's date or leave it blank so he can put the same date as his letter. Does it matter? Does it expire?

I recall reading somewhere that the date needs to be within 30 days of the date USCIS receives the i-129f petition. However, as it is unlikely to take more than 30 days to get from you to him, and then from him to USCIS then I'd put the truthful date down before you mail it.

It doesn't matter about the date. It should be before the filing date.

I dont think we even put a date on our letter of intents....I assume it was relevant to date we sent it in for noa1 included in our i129 package. No where in the instructions does it say to do that.
