Can my fiancé get vaccinations at St. Marks during the medical exam, or does he need to get them some where else prior to the exam?

If he has to get them somewhere else can you suggest a place? He lives in Valenzuela City, MM.

Thanks,

Andy

You may mean St. Luke's

St. Luke's will provide everything. They will evaulate him what kind of vaccine he needs and will give it to him right away.

Are you talking about in Phil? No reason to not use St. Luke's. He has to go there anyway, and all the ones he needs are included in the basic fee.

Or are you talking USA vaccinations for AOS? If that is the case, you can go to any MD or medical clinic you please. No need to pay civil surgeon for those.

Sorry. I knew it was one of the Apostles! I meant St. Luke's.

And yes, I was thinking about the vaccinations for the AOS. I know they are not necessary for the K1 visa application, but thought that it might be more convenient to get them in Phils, before he comes here. I guess there is one more thing on the to-do list, go to a clinic and get poked with sharp objects!

Thanks,

Andy

vaccinations are INCLUDED with the medical. Don't have to do anything special.

And cheaper. As in free. As opposed to hundreds of dollars here in the US. The doctor at St. Lukes will determine what he needs and mark the chart accordingly. All fiance needs to do is show up and roll up his sleeve.

This is only true if they have not run out of any specific vaccine as happened with my Sister-in-Law.

She still has 2 to get over here now because St Lukes was 'out'.

I suppose she could have stayed in the Philippines for a few more months and waited for them to come back into stock...

Yeah they do that a lot, be "out" of certain vaccines. They were "out" of varicella when my wife went there, but it turned out she did not need it anyway as she passed a Titers test.
