Hello everyone, our i129f petition was approved and my fiance (who is the petitioner) just got the approval notice in his mail last week. We are excited that we've crossed this stage even though we know that we still have more stages to go through.

>I need to know what to expect next as the beneficiary, i know im supposed to go for medicals and also get a police certificate and all but my confusion is, do i do all of that only after i have received an instruction packet from the US consul in Lagos ?

>Also how soon can he send the affidavit of support forms and all other necessary documents , would it be wrong if he sends it way before im scheduled for an interview or its safe if he sends it now so i can have it in hand now?

>Another question, what exactly would the packet that would be sent to me contain, like what should i expect to be inside the package and how soon do i expect to receive the package here bearing in mine that the case was just approved by USCIS on 6th November.

I would really appreciate your responses as i am really confused and dont know the next stage and what im supposed to do from here next.

Thank You

Call NVC this week to get case#. And just keep calling everyday until they have then you can start moving on your case. You can't get medical until you schedule the medical. The police report you can go get anytime you need nothing for that.

The expiry of your petition will be extended don't worry about that.

Right now you should be getting your evidence together he should be sending the I-134 (Affidavit of support) to you all that you can do now.

Read the instructions in on the page come back here if you have questions.

Congrats in receiving your NoA2:)

Just curious. How long did it take them since they opened your case til approval?

I received our NOA2 today in the mail! Very excited. I knew it was coming because I saw it on the website last week. Its a different thing to see it on paper! The receipt date of our I129F was Oct 20, 2014 and the approval notice was on Nov 12, 2014 from the CA service center.

Oh wow, less than one month :) Very nice.

Ours were received on June 9th and they are still processing cases from April and before. That is so dull and I'm getting impatient. :) Best of luck though!
