Is anyone else receiving text messages in error from USCIS? I got 2 text messages today saying 1) EAD card in production and THEN AN HOUR LATER 2) card was undeliverable by USPS with tracking info TO MIAMI, FLORIDA!!! problem is, I live in Atlanta and have not used any Florida address. In September, they sent messages saying mail undeliverable. Then I never received a biometrics appt in the mail. I walked in one day and found out I was a month late for the appointment. Sigh. As if this process isn't long enough, uscis seems to have a backlog and a lot of confusion going on. I'm sure at this rate I won't know when my AOS interview will take place. This SUCKS!

Unfortunately it is not unusual for USCIS to send numerous, confusing, and sometimes spurious text messages. After we had our AOS interview, my phone exploded with over six out of sequence, duplicate, conflicting messages.

Just another example of an overworked, archaic system struggling to get things done without enough resources. Yet, we continue to support all flavor of politicos that all preach immigration reform, but they are worthless and do nothing but talk out both sides of their mouths, and still no reforms in sight !!

Since USCIS programs are pretty much self-supporting through fees....a big question could be: Would you be willing to pay more in fees for better service?

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
