I received the letter with the case number and invoice number and it said to go online and fill the DS- 261 to select an agent which I did yesterday.

Now in the website it says I should wait 15 days for it to be processed. What I would like to know if I can pay the $120 fee for the Affidavit of Support right now or do I have to wait 15 days to pay? Also after I pay the AOS fee will I get a bill for another fee? Also they sent me a cover sheet with a list of forms do, I have to send all those forms or will they tell me after I pay the fees which specific forms and documents I should send. Also in the list it says to send birth certificate and wedding certificate do they have to be the original or can they be copies? I have so many question sorry I am very confused. It also says prof of relationship, what kind of document should you send?

Thanks

You should go ahead and pay whatever fees you got billed, you don't have to wait. Pay whatever bill is available online to pay. Yes you need to send all Orignals to NVC, the beneficiary will get it back at the time of interview.

**** you should read the NVC wiki created by Saylin. The link is on my signature. The wiki will be of great help to you and it will answer all your questions***

The birth and marriage certificates need to be in extensa and legalizada, originals plus a photocopy, you don't need a translation. You need a copy of the cedula and the passport, a papel de buena conducta, as recent as you can (you need an updated one for the interview).

By the way, I think AOS and IV docs have to be sent together now, but I'm not sure. You can pay the AOS fee of $120 and soon you should be able to pay the IV fee of $325.

You need the AOS docs, like the I-864, 3 years of taxes and proof of employment (employment letter or recent pay stubs).

You also have to fill out the DS260 online and print the confirmation page.

This does not constitute legal advice.

I just paid the AOS fee. There is no bill for IV fee as yet. How long does it take to get IV bill? And also, do I have to wait on IV bill before I can fill out DS 260?
